Beast Mastery Hunter Macros for WoW: The War Within
Macros
This post introduces four carefully crafted Beast Mastery Hunter macros for the live version of World of Warcraft. When used together, they can cover nearly all combat scenarios for this specialization. These macros are optimized for builds that include Call of the Wild, although many players are starting to drop this talent. I still recommend it due to its strong compatibility with Mythic+, raid DPS, and PvP performance.
Burst Opener Macro
If you're using this macro, make sure you've selected the Scent of Blood talent. It dramatically reduces the cooldown of Bestial Wrath. If not, remove the two Barbed Shot casts in the middle. This macro also triggers both trinkets and your potion. It’s highly versatile and useful in everything from PvP to Revisited Horrific Visions.
Dire Beast + Explosive Shot Macro
Both Dire Beast and Explosive Shot are kept out of the main damage sequence to avoid conflicts with cooldowns. This macro handles them as a standalone pair.
Single-Target Macro
This macro is designed for sustained single-target output. If your item level is 640+ and you have enough Haste, it will run smoothly. Otherwise, you may experience some focus starvation. In that case, remove 1–2 casts of Kill Command or Cobra Shot to fine-tune the cycle based on your gear.
AoE Macro
This macro is built similarly to the single-target one but optimized for AoE. If your Haste is low, consider removing 1–2 casts of Multi-Shot or Kill Command. If Kill Command is ever just barely on cooldown, you can manually weave in an extra Multi-Shot to maintain pressure.
