Best Shadow Priest Macros for WoW: The War Within – ARCHON Build Focus
Macros
This post features Shadow Priest macros specifically tailored for the ARCHON build. Unlike general-purpose macros, these are designed around the unique talents and cooldown rhythm of the ARCHON variant. Due to higher burst potential, this build is especially suited for pushing high Mythic+ keys — which is why I favor it.
The following 4 macros form a complete set. They rely on specific talents and are not as universally compatible as my macros for other specs. Please reference the talent tree shown in the guide, or use my import code directly:

Burst Opener Macro
This macro casts Shadow Crash at your cursor to apply DoTs to all enemies. It also activates both trinkets, then enters your burst sequence. When Void Eruption ends, the macro seamlessly switches to casting Void Bolt via the known:
condition. Holding any modifier key (Alt/Shift/Ctrl) triggers Shadowfiend.
Note: Due to the 255-character macro limit, the trinket lines don't include target conditions. If your trinket requires ground targeting, move it to slot 13 and replace /use 13
with /use [@player] 13
.
Rotation Macro
This macro covers both burst and filler rotation for the ARCHON build. It prioritizes Mind Blast and Devouring Plague in a sequence. When Mind Flay: Insanity procs, it overrides the sequence to ensure proper consumption of the empowered channel.
Holding any modifier key lets you manually cast Mind Flay, useful when low on Insanity or waiting for cooldowns.
Shadow Word: Death + Void Torrent Macro
This macro cycles between Shadow Word: Death and Void Torrent with a 2-second reset. Because Void Torrent has a 30s cooldown, the macro allows multiple casts of Shadow Word: Death in between. You can even change reset=2
to reset=1
if you want to cast SW:D more frequently on low-HP enemies.
Shadow Priest Defensive Macro
This one-click survival macro applies Power Word: Shield to a mouseover ally, or to yourself if no valid mouseover exists. In combat, it also triggers Desperate Prayer, Vampiric Embrace, and Fade — all of which are off-GCD and can be used instantly for emergency sustain.
